Desmond Fennell and Ireland: Past, Present and Future
I’ll be delivering a few words at this. I’ll publish the transcript on here afterward.
Friday, June 14 · 9am - 1pm, Sandymount Hotel
“Desmond Fennell passed away nearly three years ago. He left behind an extraordinary volume of writing, thinking and broadcasting produced over a long and productive life in Ireland and abroad… Speakers will include Kate Fennell, Angela Nagle, Finbarr Bradley, James Bradshaw, Toner Quinn and others - promising an engaging and inspiring half day conversation about one of modern Ireland's greatest thinkers.”
2024 Ireland Free Speech Summit
18th June 18:00 - 21:00
A movement has emerged to stop the Irish government passing extreme legislation that would criminalise free thought and speech. Graham Linehan and Michael Shellenberger will be there. Gerard Casey is always interesting to hear.
Happy weekend, wherever you are!
That I have lived to see Des Fennel treated like the original thinker he was, would love to be there.
Looking forward to the Desmond Fennell speech!
