I'm looking forward to watching your new project develop! Thanks for doing this podcast, I have been listening to it on-and-off and engaging with the work of the thinkers you and Sean talk about in my own time (God bless Michael Hudson). It's really helped me consider the world in a way that feels more authentic and more honest than the shill narratives we'd typically be presented with, so thank you and Sean and Nick for creating this.
Really disappointed you're ending the pod but best of luck with the endeavor and you can put me down for a copy of the book when it comes out.
Cheap housing is definitely a factor in artistic production, and the new Romantics is one of the last great examples. There's a great documentary you should check out - Blitzed: The 80s Blitz Kids Story(although there's many others particularly about boy George). The fact they all lived together in squats was huge.
Living during a time or political contestation, like Thatcher's Britain was Also a factor.
Political transformation also applies to the Dutch Master, and that documentary about Vermeer’s Officer and Laughing Girl, about the emergence of capitalism is Worth a look(theres a book as well. Maybe you've read it)
Awesome idea! I donated. Can't wait to hear more about what you find. It's a great question
Thank you 🙏
You're welcome! I feel like a patron of the arts myself now. Like a mini Cosimo!
Hoping we get 6 months of train and civil war podcasts from Sean. Can't wait for the book!

Do I need to sign up for something else to get the episodes without Angela?
Yes the Patreon. Sean is working on retooling and will be putting up more stuff next month.
